About the facilitators:
Natalie Karneef is a Lebanese-Canadian activist and has taught meditation for the past 8 years. She has worked with storytelling and mindfulness in youth and in refugee communities in Canada, Uganda and Turkey. She currently lives between Canada and Turkey.
Derek Rasmussen is a meditation teacher of Scottish-Argentine descent at the Dharma Centre of Canada with 30 years experience. Derek is a civil disobedience trainer and legal researcher; he lived and worked in Nunavut with Inuit organizations for many years.
We are activists first, and spiritual practitioners by necessity.
