There’s supposed to be a snowstorm here, starting tomorrow. The last time there was one, the airports shut down, life stopped, and images of busses sliding all over the roads went international.
“Some experts” are saying this one might be worse.
I went to Fatih today to a many-floored retail establishment that sells eyeglasses. On the way back, it started snowing, just a little. It was so surreal, being so far away from Canada, and feeling such a familiar feeling, one that I now associate with two winters of lockdown, where I would sit and stare out the living room window at the endless white and greyness, wondering what in god’s name was supposed to happen now.
I still don’t know if or how I’m going to leave my AirBnb on Friday, but at least we all know it’s not going to go as planned.
